Hello everyone!  As a middle school counselor, it is my duty and personal goal to serve every student in this school, by helping them navigate through their personal, academic, or social challenges.  I strongly believe that if a student is struggling emotionally, then they will not be able to succeed academically.  I advocate taking a solution-focused approach to helping students work through their own problems, and I also emphasize teaching students the importance of becoming goal-oriented problem solvers.

Also, as the primary 6th grade counselor, I want to ensure that our new students have a safe place to come to when they needs assistance, help, or motivation.  Middle school can be a very challenging time, as students are faced with greater expectations in and out of school, and are simultaneously going through dramatic personal changes.  By utilizing varying counseling strategies and techniques, I hope to impart students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed and grow during their middle school years.
